| INTRODUCTION
On the base of the valley floor, where Shoshone people roamed for millennia, is a tiny town nestled under some of the most spectacular mountain peaks in the world. On a twenty-acre parcel of land sits a square-cut timbered house – much like others built when homesteaders settled on this land a century ago. For all of the authenticity and originality of this home, there is a new story…one with more layers.
Naturally felled lodgepole pines; rugged stone; hand-forged hardware; salvaged woods and resawn timbers create the architectural envelope for the mix of European antiques, Southern decorative arts, and Dine (Navajo) pieces that fill every room. Layered, complex, and authentic are the words that best describe this house that tells the story of the owners who’ve traveled far, but created a home filled with memories of the people and places they’ve encountered along the way.
