Tom Mangelsen is among the most awarded, respected, accomplished, and prolific nature photographers of the 20th and 21st centuries. His cinematography has been nominated for an Emmy, and he’s photographed and produced documentaries for both PBS and the BBC.

Tom’s work is in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History, and he has been featured in National Geographic, Audubon, BBC Wildlife, Newsweek, and many other publications as well as having been profiled on “The Today Show,” “Good Morning America,” “CNN World News,” “CBS News,” “60 Minutes with Anderson Cooper,” and “ABC World News Tonight.”

Tom has won many awards including the 2011 Conservation Photographer of the Year; the BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year; one of the 40 Most Important Nature Photographers of All Time; Nikon’s Legend Behind the Lens Award, and many other international and national awards.

While traveling the globe capturing extraordinary images of wildlife in their natural habitat, Tom documents our ever-changing natural world. He’s now recognized as a great steward and a leading conservationist, and is the co-founder of The Cougar Fund. He sits on the advisory council of the Jane Goodall Institute – Jane is his good friend and companion for the annual great crane migration on the Platte River.
